Aside from existential intent in painting this work, I was interested when a friend said ‘it is like a Warhol silk screen print’. With the changing colour and tonal make up of repeated same images it is clear where that thought comes from. Initially considered was to paint each image identical, but instead by variety additional variance in substance can be considered.
